I was quoted about £70-80 to polish some parts on my bike and being completely skint a friend of mine said he'd get them done for me for next to nothing... however I can't wait any longer for him to get his finger out, so the desicion has been made to try and do them myself!
I've got the polishing kit off Windy now and I had my first little attempt at doing it yesterday. And, much to my amazement, it's working... I see a shiny patch!!
I'm going to go and sit in the sun now and see how much I get done today and I'll keep you updated as to how I'm getting on and get some pics on tonight! Very Happy

Here's the before and (nearly) after!
On the left is how the bit started out and on the right you can see how the mirror finish is on its way. I'll just go over it a couple more times and it should be done.
It's actually not been as bad or time consuming as I thought it would be... but I may not feel the same after I've tackled the swing-arm!

It's a polishing kit. No idea what it's called or where it's from as it's Lee's (I'll find out!) but you basically attach cloth mops to a drill and add compounds of varying grades to the mop and polish away! It's actually a lot easier than I thought, just time consuming!

Not done any this week, going to blitz it at weekend, then Lee's going to put the bike back together for me next week, so soon as it's done the pics will be on!
